A Date with Yourself

Beyond reason alone, only vigilant attention can enable you to listen to and interpret your inner stirrings. Seven weeks to formulate your true question and regain your freedom amid the noise that assails you.

In Good Company

12 participants, 12 unique journeys. The program is a space for intimacy and genuine sharing. You’ll move forward with a supportive team that embraces diversity. Personalized guidance helps you go deeper.

4 steps
to help you decide

The Let Your Soul Guide You program is structured around a step-by-step process—from formulating your question to putting your choice into action.

Formulate the question that will truly help you make a decision • Is this a dilemma (to do or not to do) or a choice between several options? • Are you getting to the heart of the matter, or are you asking a question that hides another one? • Assess the stakes: the context, what’s at stake, and what the decision entails for you and those around you.

Gather objective information about each option • Identify the people involved, or • Attachments, fears, ambitions, apprehensions: set aside all these spontaneous attractions and aversions to gain greater freedom •

Refocus on what matters most to you • How does this decision fit into your life’s journey? • Does it contribute to something “greater than yourself”? • Identify the guiding principle that will inform your upcoming decision-making • Weigh your options in light of your ultimate goal •

Confirm the choice • internally, through others, through actions • and move on to implementation.

what I need?

This is for you if…

You’re grappling with a decision that won’t let you go (a career path, a life choice, a change on the horizon).

You want to make decisions based on who you are, not to please others or conform to external pressures.

You’re looking for a structured approach that takes your whole self into account, not just vague “personal development.”

You want to set aside the time needed to make serious progress on your decision.

You believe that a discussion among peers truly enriches your thinking.

This is not for you if…

You’re curious about the process but haven’t made a firm decision about where to try it out.

You’re looking for ready-made answers or just advice.

You can’t set aside two hours a week on the specified dates and times.

You’re not ready to dedicate time between sessions to complete the suggested exercises.

You’re not willing to share your questions and insights in a small peer group.

FAQ

What inspires Let Your Soul Guide You  ?

The structure of the program is based on the “discernment through purpose” approach proposed by Bernard Bougon and Laurent Falque in their books (Discerning to Decide, Practices of Decision-Making, Learning to Choose). This approach is explored in depth and shared within the Institute for Professional Discernment, of which I am a member. It is a secular, modern adaptation of Ignatius of Loyola’s Spiritual Exercises, applied to the professional world.

The daily reflections are not religious in nature. They consist of meditations on works of art, literary or philosophical texts, and videos that, in one way or another, nourish and/or challenge our soul and mind.

Let Your Soul Guide You is therefore a non-denominational journey, in which each participant’s religious or spiritual path is not only respected but also valued.

That said, participants are generally open to connecting with something “greater than themselves.”

Who are the participants?

Let Your Soul Guide You is designed for a group of 12 participants. Each person comes with a specific question of discernment—an important choice.

Whether it involves preparing for a career change, a decision related to a responsibility, or choosing a place to live, the program will help participants view this decision in the context of a specific personal purpose. Sometimes this purpose is already clear; other times, it will need to be clarified through ad hoc exercises.

The preliminary interview helps assess participants’ motivation and suitability for the program.

How is this different from a traditional coaching ?

More often than not, coaching aims to achieve a specific goal.

Here, each person follows their own path: listening to one’s inner self is full of surprises that are impossible to predict in advance.

The approach is therefore more contemplative, more profound. It can guide you every day, as well as at every crossroads in your life, long after the journey is over.

How much time should I set aside each week ?

Allow 2 hours per week for the online sessions.

You’ll be given 5 exercises for each day of the week. They’re designed to take you between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.

You can choose to do them all. However, you’re encouraged to adjust this choice based on your own pace and circumstances: the spirit of this program is that everyone can decide their own level of commitment based on where they are right now.

What if, after one or two sessions, I feel like this isn’t for me?

Let Your Soul Guide You is a journey you embark on alongside other travelers.

An important part of the experience is based on dialogue among the participants. The preliminary interview is therefore essential to determine whether this journey can meet your expectations and whether now is the right time for you to join it.

However, despite this interview, it may happen that after one or two sessions you are not entirely comfortable with the approach and/or the participants. If that is the case (and provided you have participated fully by completing the suggested exercises), you will receive a full refund without having to provide a reason.
